This print is a composition taken from a series called "Framework" that I began in 2014. The majority of my work is based on memory and the analysis of time. I used windows as a motif to create a timeline of places I have lived and traveled to. There were 28 paintings in all -- the first window of my childhood home to the current window of my Brooklyn apartment. Each painting was titled with location, year, and a memory of the place."Winslow Road" is the second painting from the series. This window is from my grandmother's house - as a small child I would nap in the back room of her home -- cacti lined the windowsills -- one day one must have fallen and I remember waking feeling pins and needles on my arms.
