"Night Vision"is part of a series of figure drawings exploring idealized, feminine Greek and Roman posing. The figures are given masks drawn to integrate many ancient cultures, showing us an inner spirit, animal, rebellion.
Kristen Schiele lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She received a BFA from Indiana University and an MFA from American University and studied at the Hochschule der Kunste in Berlin, Germany. She has had solo and group exhibitions with Dio Horia Gallery in Mykonos, Greece, Freight and Volume Gallery, Nathalie Karg Gallery, the Torrence Art Museum in Los Angeles, the Corcoran Museum of Art in Washington D.C. among others. She is in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum and Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
