Robert Lazzarini is a New York-based artist whose work questions fundamental perceptual tenets. His recent silkscreen paintings combine image and pattern which change depending on the viewers proximity to the work. The artist makes use of phenomenology of viewing as a foil the static nature of pictures.
This print is based on the deceased actress Sharon Tate and represents a sort of simultaneous conjuring and fading.
