'Use Your Illusion IV' is based on an intricately cut and layered paper composition--my latest challenge to trap the dynamic vibrating energy of my 3-dimensional Lenticular Paintings (LPs) within a 2D realm. Works in this ongoing series are abstracted portraits inspired by hidden personality information and the guiding music contained within the patterns of record collections.

Hambouz is a Brooklyn-based multimedia artist who has had solo exhibitions with the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Chashama and The Durst Organization, and Calico Gallery in New York, NY and The Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph, MI. He has participated in group exhibitions and benefit auctions at Luhring Augustine, Cheim & Read, Bridget Donahue, and the Williamsburg Art and Historical Society.
