The reason we call ourselves Ghost of a Dream is that everything we make is about peoples hopes and dreams, and our work is made from the remnants of people trying to attain those desires. So when Karl originally came to us and asked us to make a print, we had to pass, because theoretically it made no sense for us to print on fresh paper. But then we thought "How about printing over the failed prints of other artists; essentially, the pieces that didn't make the cut?", and Karl loved it. So from there we chose the other artists prints and designed something that would work on-top.

The pattern is based on our series of op-based collages and paintings designed to both attract and disorient the eye at the same time. We want this disorientation to mimic the way our endorphins effect our vision as we get excited, feel like we are about to win something, or attain something we have been hoping for. We are particularly happy about how this collaboration with all the other unknowing artists turned out.
