"A Message from Rudy" is inspired by the artist's 11 year old dog. Rudy is a handsome Boston Terrier who has spent most of his life as a jet-setter with his bohemian mistress. After living all over the world, from the jungle of Hawaii to the wabi-sabi house in Kyoto, he returned to New York City, starting a new life as an aging blind dog. His unusual blue eyes elicit interesting reactions from the people he meets. Some are frightened, some are fascinated. Meanwhile, Rudy remains who he is. His eyes are our mirror; what we see is our own reflection. Using the sacred number of 108, "A Message from Rudy" depicts 108 dogs, including blue-eyed Rudy and one stray cat. Can you find them? Rudy says if you are a cat among dogs, be proud to be a cat. Difference is power. Just be you. #RudyTheRudeboy
