"Arbeta" translates to ‘work’ from Swedish, a language that my wife and daughter often speak in our home. It’s a language I don’t speak, so a lot of what is said is abstract sound to me. In this sense, as in "Arbeta", text has been reduced to a pattern, a layered image somewhere between drawing and writing with an emphasis on it’s own process of production showing the smudging from handling etc, the work focuses on the potential tangibility of words and text.
